Terroir
Rive Droite is born on the hills of Quercy, where 40-year-old vines root in marls over lacustrine limestone. A deep terroir that delivers an elegant and harmonious expression.
The vineyard is cultivated with complete respect for the living ecosystem, certified organic and biodynamic. Interventions are measured and natural balances are carefully preserved.
The vinification is carried out parcel by parcel in small concrete vats. The grapes, mostly de-stemmed but not crushed, ferment with indigenous yeasts. Extractions are gentle, using light punch-downs and controlled pump-overs. Maceration lasts between 20 and 25 days.
The wine is then aged for 18 months in oak barrels (half new, half one to three use) to add depth and structure without overpowering the fruit.
No fining or filtration is applied, preserving the wine’s integrity.
Deep ruby color with violet highlights.
Nose
Intense black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), gentle spices, and elegant hints of oak.
Palate
Full-bodied, velvety, and fleshy, with soft, well-integrated tannins. Long, fresh finish carried by a fine mineral tension.
A deep, lively, and harmonious red wine, faithfully reflecting its terroir and biodynamic cultivation.
